Changelog32 changes
Build your own Overview: move widgets anywhere and set how wide each one is
Added
- The Overview is now a free grid. Press Customize to drag any widget anywhere, change its width (pull its edge or use the width buttons), hide it, or bring a hidden one back.
Changed
- The product tour on the home page now shows the redesigned dashboard (new screenshots of every page, plus a slide for customizing the Overview), and the Pricing page and the Billing page now read the same plan limits.
- Dates in tables stay on one line, and tables line up their columns the same way everywhere.
- Members & invites: the Actions column no longer shows up empty. It only appears when someone can actually be removed or an invite can be revoked or sent again, and owners get a lock instead of a blank cell.
- Project and workspace settings read more clearly: each setting has its explanation on the left and its field on the right, and a new "Feature lifecycle" section draws how a feature ages from "new" to "dead" with your thresholds, updating as you type.
- Billing now shows how many days are left in the period, a bar for projects used, clear notices for a locked workspace, a grace period or a cancelling plan, and a Plans section that replaces the upgrade dropdown.
- The Alerts page now shows what is planned (usage drops, features going dead, unexpected patterns) instead of a single "coming soon" box, and empty states share one look with an icon.
- In every table, the whole row is now a link: click anywhere on it (not just on the name) to open the page.
- Copying a feature name now shows a notification. Top properties show each value with a bar and its share, five values at a time with "Show more", and the feature's settings sit at the bottom of the page in two columns instead of a tall card beside the chart, so nothing jumps while you scroll.
- The Features page now opens unfiltered (it used to open with "Active" already applied); the status filter is still one click away and Overview cards still link in with theirs.
- Feature pages are easier to use: a clear state (Active, New, Declining, Dead, Never seen) next to the name, a copy button, the description under the title, clearer notices for dead and never-seen features, and a two-column layout with the settings alongside the chart, users and properties. The settings now have an on/off switch, a character count, and show whether anything is unsaved.
- Project and workspace settings are split into clear sections, each with its own Save button and a "Saved / Unsaved changes" note, and the Account page has an overview card with your initials, jump links, icons for each sign-in method and a cleaner list of your roles.
- All list pages (Features, Dead features, Never seen, Code vs data, Users, Events) now filter the same way: one Filter button opens the search and options, what is applied shows as removable chips next to it, sorting is its own button, and the number of results is shown on the right. The Features page always shows its status as a chip, so it is clear why the list is shorter than "everything".
- The feature page uses the same Usage card as the Overview (period and Events / Users in the header), its properties sit in a card, and the Billing, Operations and settings pages use the same card titles, sizes and spacing as everything else.
- Buttons, inputs and filters share one height, every button shows a pointer cursor, timestamps no longer wrap onto two lines, and the Code vs data cards line up.
- The collapsed sidebar is easier to use: it collapses and expands instantly, the toggle buttons show a pointer cursor, the icons of grouped pages (Features, Project setup) open a menu with all their pages beside the sidebar, and a thin line separates the Project and Workspace sections.
- Customize now lives in a small tab fixed to the right edge of the screen: an icon that unfolds into "Customize" when you point at it. Opening it shows a panel next to the tab (instructions, hidden widgets, reset) that stays on screen while you scroll and never moves or resizes the widgets. You can close the panel with its X button or Escape and keep editing; an Options tab under Done brings it back. Each widget's controls sit on its top edge, so nothing jumps when you switch it on or off.
- The Events / Users switch of the Usage chart is now a button in the widget's header, next to the period button, like the other widget filters.
- The Events and Users pages now filter the same way as the Overview widgets: one Filter button opens the fields (and a calendar on Events), and what is applied stays visible as removable chips next to it.
- Overview lists are now labelled for what they are: the top 10 (by total uses, feature-days or share of users), and the footer says "Showing 5 of top 10" instead of implying the list is complete.
- Filter buttons on the Overview are now the same height as the icon next to them, and card titles are larger and bolder.
- Every list on the Overview now follows one layout: title with its filter, a one-line description, five rows of the same height, and a footer pinned to the bottom ("Showing 5 of 8" and "Show all 8"). Lists that sit side by side are the same height, and both Adoption widgets have clear names (Adoption chart and Adoption list).
- The Features entry in the sidebar now opens and closes like Project setup, with a new "All features" item inside, and the sidebar remembers which groups you left open.
- The status filter on the Overview moved to the top of the page.
Fixed
- Wide tables (Members, Invites, API keys, features) no longer overlap their columns on phones: they scroll sideways instead.
- Menus no longer get cut off at the edge of the screen (the calendar on phones, for example), and tall ones scroll.
- Each list on the Overview (Top Features, Top Users, both Adoption widgets) now has a Filter button in its header. Click it to pick what that widget shows, with a short explanation for each option; the button lights up while a filter is applied. The KPI cards and Top Events are never filtered, and switching a filter no longer makes widgets jump or change width.
- The Usage widget now looks like the others: a titled card with one period button in its header. Click it to pick the last 30 days, 12 weeks or 12 months, or choose a custom date range on a calendar.
- Help tooltips on the Overview now open only from their question-mark icon, and also work on touch screens and with the keyboard.
- Customize mode no longer covers widget titles, and works on phones (press and hold to drag).
- Opening a feature from the Declining page now keeps Declining highlighted in the sidebar, and "Back" returns to Declining.
- Tracking calls are now found when a hook hands back a plain function (`const track = useTracker(); track("x")`), and when the tracker comes from a helper that creates it on first use.
