Changelog6 changes

Components that pass a prop on to tracking are found, whatever the prop is called

Added

  • The CLI now finds events set on a component through any prop, not only `event`. If a component sends one of its props to tracking, every place that uses the component with a value for that prop is picked up, including when the prop is handed on through other components and when the component is wrapped in `memo` or `forwardRef`.
  • The same works in Vue, Svelte, Astro and Angular components: a prop (an input in Angular) that reaches a tracking call is found at every place the component is used.
  • After `sync` and `check`, the CLI lists event names it cannot accept (longer than 64 characters, or with characters such as emoji), with the file, the line and the reason. Before, they were dropped without a word and the run ended with "All good".
  • Files with syntax errors are now listed too, since events after the error may be missed. They are still scanned and do not fail `--strict`.
  • The documentation says what prop tracking does not follow in each framework (spreads, class components, Options API, `define:vars` and so on), on the docs page and in the READMEs.

Changed

  • Example code in the Vue, Svelte, Astro and Angular plugin READMEs was fixed so each one works as written.
